i don't really feel so much like expounding on why a tiny bit of fame destroys creativity and realness.
but i have been watching it ruin really smart people and turn them into vacuous paper dolls with entourages.
Being "fabulous" becomes the focus, NOT what they originally intended to do.
it makes it really hard to be around them at all.

Gormley and I are finishing up JBL's bathroom. She was having a hard time picturing what we were proposing so we made a diorama!!!!!




the toilet seat goes up and down and there are flowers and soap dishes on the wall.

this is why i love gormley.

one day a few years ago, she wanted to tell me about a light fixyure she had seen. It was made of heavy white rice paper. I couldn't imagine it so we got out a big piece of paper and she described it to me and i made it from her description.
