i woke up at 5 am
because its spring
and it is lighter earlier
and it was silent
completely silent
my neighborhood is generally abuzz
even at 3am
so hearing nothing is something to notice
the planes hadn't started taking off
no car alarms
no hum of traffic
no even my curtains rustling from the open window.
no breathing sounds from next to me
just the purr and wizz from my little thinking computer.
