jen pl is having a baby!
i know that most of you know because the minute she told me (in Benny's Burrito's in the East village before she even told her MOM!)
she is about 19 weeks now and everyone is doing well and they are 98% sure that its a girl

we think shes going to be an abigail stella

so between jen and i talking about baby names and lulu's first day of school
im having a little baby fever.
its been awhile since my last infection

it reminds me of the rigidness of our chemistry
that as 'fluid' as we would all like to be
and as much as i rebel against being pinned with all of the trappings of being 'female' (or lesbian or any other thing that people like to box you up in)
there are some things in my DNA that i do not have control over.
i can control how i behave in the world
i can control what i decide to do with my life

i can not control the chemistry of centuries worth of hearty peasant stock in my DNA that makes me crave having babies.

i hate that.
