the sky was incredible at 7:30 this morning.
it was grey, but it was that cadet blue that seems to offset colors like nothing else.
I was standing on the corner of plaza and Vanderbilt looking north at a skyline that i have seen many, many times on many mornings at exactly that same time.
i have never seen anything in that sky like the colors this morning.
it looked like the Mediterranean sky
from the hotel that i stay in when i am in Sitges
the whites were almost fluorescent against the grey sky and i noticed colors that i have apparently walked and passed by a million times and have never noticed.
especially the whites
every color seemed to jump out at me from all angles.

maybe its because im happier
or that i quit my job on Friday
i wonder if its because i wake up in the morning looking at that face and i can not imagine what it could possibly feel like to be happier than i am right this very moment.

but the colors were gorgeous all the same.
