i know that i promised mullets and i SWEAR that you will get them but I have something more pressing.

i can certainly appreciate everyones excitement about this but i think that we are celebrating a half victory. This has opened the flood gates and i hope that all of you homos are ready to fight.

i worry that so many people need the validation of this government. a government that i don't feel represents most of the people that i know, at all, sexuality completely aside.
It like asking the schoolyard bully to say that its ok that you wear floods and glasses. I could care less. i am going to wear my glasses and cut my pants even shorter even if it means that i get my ass kicked everyday.
I worry that it will make people forget about it. that this decision will create a wave of champagne toasts that leaves everyone drunk and forgetting that if you are lucky enough to HAVE partner benefits, that you would have to pay taxes on them.
With or without this ruling, I would keep sodomizing, that wouldn't change one way or the other. but the fact that i pay taxes on money that straight people do not have to pay, THAT is an issue. THAT is the stuff that i want people to pay attention to.

everyone has to keep up the fighting and try to get involved by something as simple as reminding people that this doesn't mean that we all the sudden EXIST. It means that now we are resopnsible for keeping up the momentum that this has given us. Because the bastard conservative right wing is PISSED. Now we have done it and now we will have to pay so we really have to continue to come out swinging.

I have been so quiet about this with everyone because i am stunned mostly. that people would even consider it their right to say that something that i do in the privacy of my home is their business. and worse, that other people do not stand up and say "shut the fuck up its none of your business" when some a-hole like Frist gets up and says "whats next? beastiality, incest and kiddie porn?"

FUCK HIM.
and FUCK YOU if you don't tell someone who says something like that to shut the fuck up and mind their business.
