i woke up with NO IDEA where i was last night. Of course I was at jbl's house but i woke up not even knowing where the bathroom was. Until i was wearing a cat mask...THEN i knew where i was. You can't swing a cat witout hitting another cat there.
i was dreaming about babies and sled dogs...in the same dream.
i wish i had the language to write about dreams the way that they ARE rather than how they translate. Whenever i talk about a dream, some amount of my own translation makes it into the telling. Or i start to analyze it right away before just enjoying all of the ethereal fog of it.
so here is an excercise in ethereally telling a dream story
grey, clammy parking lot, the only color in sight is the bright yellow of the lines indicating the areas to park in
im walking across to meet chris s. he is standing next to a squirming pile of blankets. i know this to be puppies. we are going on some sort of adventure and we are excited to know that it is going to be with sled dogs. i see the puppies and they don't look like sled dogs. they look like yellow mixed breed puppies i think that they could pull sleds just as well as a husky- why not?
the puppies turn into a baby. not a cute baby or an ugly baby...just generic baby with diaper. one that i keep thinking is just a little too big.
i guess i need more practice
.....................................................
we are taking a room mate in Atlanta. its going to fund some things for me, like my store. it would cover the rent on a space. We found one that was perfect, a little big but otherwise perfect.
ms browning was giving me some good tips when we were looking at spaces on sunday. "try to make sure its near a restaurant or a bar". I definately hadn't thought of that.
but this has the first sort of 'chi chi' bar in the neighborhood, right across the street. and its also across from the Heaping Bowl which is an Atlanta staple.
ack...this gets scarier by the minute.
