i have been working on a theory...(ah my theories! I haven't come up with a new one in awhile so here you go) and it solidified in my head after reading kiri's entry ( "i have muscles").

I think that i am watching the beginnings of some serious Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in this city. I have been noticing that the city has been really hostile lately and i thought maybe it was just me being over sensitive. But the more i mention it to people the more they agree and relate some recent story of something disturbing that has happened on the street. As I was walking down broadway, talking on the phone with the girl and relaying the story to her, a man starts screaming at a woman who bumped into him, threatening to throw her into the street. I haven't heard an exchange like that in some time. It feels like when i first moved to NY in '91. I think that there is going to be an exodus out of nyc.

having said that...i am off to the "un-Wedding" of Sparky and the Rooster and I want to wish them all of the love and happiness in the world!!!
